Professional Development: Connecting the Digital World to your Career

Hello ACE Alumni,

We are excited to announce our first Professional Development Session, Connecting the Digital World to Your Career.

This is the first in a series of Professional Development Sessions.

The session will be held via ZOOM on Saturday, September 10th from 9 AM – 11 AM MST.

What to Expect:

First, we will offer two separate break-out rooms. The first will be for those who have little to no experience with LinkedIn. It will be a beginner’s guide on how to create a great profile, how to explore job opportunities, and ultimately how to utilize the platform.

The second break-out room is for those who have a bit more experience with LinkedIn. This will be a guide on how to use LinkedIn effectively. A deeper dive into finding jobs and internships, connecting, strengthening professional relationships, and learning the skills you need to network on LinkedIn.

We will then come back as one big group to learn more about how to gain access to a platform exclusive to ACE Alumni, CareerSpring. ACE Scholarships Alumni Program recently partnered with an organization called CareerSpring, a networking and job placement platform for our seniors and alumni. CareerSpring leverages a state-of-the-art online Platform and a Network of thousands of professionals, employers, educators, and community organizations to provide students with career information, career advice, and job placement services.
