Giving Program
Leaving a Legacy of Quality Education Through Planned Giving
A LASTING GIFT UNLOCKS EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR GENERATIONS TO COME.
Give to the ACE Scholarships Legacy Giving Program and transform the futures of children across the country.
We established this program to celebrate those who have chosen to include ACE Scholarships in their long-term plans through estate commitments, life-income gifts, or other deferred giving arrangements.
What are your legacy giving options?
We believe every child deserves equal access to a quality education.
Bequests & Legacy Gifts
An estate gift provision in your will or trust
Whether you designate a specific amount or leave a percentage of your estate, your legacy gift is an investment in our future. Include ACE in your long-term plans through a bequest provision in your will or trust, or through a beneficiary designation from a financial or retirement account. Through your legacy gift, you have the chance to reflect your dedication to ACE today and into the future.
Retirement Plan Assets
Using retirement plans to impact ACE today and tomorrow
Designating ACE as the beneficiary of a retirement account (e.g., 401(k), IRA) is an effective and tax efficient way of making a future gift to ACE and avoiding taxes for your heirs. Individuals over 70½ are also eligible to make current gifts to ACE through charitable distributions from a regular IRA, without incurring tax on the distribution. If the donor is 73 or older, it counts toward their annual, required minimum distribution (RMD).
Appreciated Assets
Maximum impact and avoid tax on capital gains
Giving appreciated assets, such as stocks, real estate or other investments that have increased in value are useful planned giving options. Donating appreciated assets as part of a planned giving strategy is a tax efficient and impactful way for individuals to support ACE while also optimizing their financial situation.
Donor-Advised Funds
A flexible, personal giving fund
Donor-Advised Funds offer several benefits for charitable giving, including immediate tax benefits, streamlined gifting process and increased flexibility. You can contribute to the fund, receive the tax deduction and then recommend grants to your chosen charities over time.
Income-Producing Gifts
Increase your retirement income and make a gift to ACE
Certain charitable planning strategies can supplement your retirement income while also enabling you to make a gift that will benefit ACE in the future. A charitable gift annuity or a charitable remainder trust can generate a fixed or variable payments for your lifetime, avoid tax on capital gains and impact ACE in the future.
Life Insurance
Transform your life insurance into a lasting legacy
If you no longer need the protection of an existing life insurance policy, it might be a meaningful way to support ACE. Donors can name a nonprofit organization as the beneficiary of an insurance policy, ensuring that the charity receives the policy’s proceeds upon the donor’s passing. It’s a simple way to make a significant gift.
