Announcing: ACE 2020 Campaign
Close the Gap
When ACE Scholarships was established in 2000, our founders believed that the organization would be a temporary measure to provide relief until greater education policy reform was initiated. Now 18 years later, children of low-income families continue to lack the same educational opportunities as their peers. Year after year, underprivileged students consistently achieve below grade-level, and they represent a disproportionate number of high school drop-outs.
ACE has worked to close the opportunity gap in education by offering low-income children access to private schools. Unlike middle and high-income families, impoverished families do not get to choose where their children receive their education—they can neither afford to move nor afford to pay for private school.
Not Enough
While ACE has accomplished a great deal over the years—over 19,600 scholarships worth more than $42 million in Colorado alone—we know that it still is not enough. In order to combat the continued stagnation in education reform and provide immediate relief to children in need, ACE has committed to lead an effort to significantly increase its scholarship allocations over the next two years.
Introducing ACE’s 2020 Campaign
There are more than 380, 000 low-income students in Colorado, and nearly 10,500 quality seats remain empty at ACE’s partner school today. For these kids, learning can’t wait. To that end, we are excited to announce ACE’s “Learning Can’t Wait” 2020 Campaign. Our goal is to enable 3,000 children to attend school of their choice by 2020. This 50% increase in scholarships will provide immediate relief to children who simply cannot continue to wait decades for positive change
With multi-year donations from our supporters, we can elevate thousands of children and their families out of a system that has failed them—a system that has perpetuated a cycle of poverty for far too long.
Thank you for your consideration of ACE, and for all the work you do to improve our communities.
