Alicia

Please meet Alicia, an ACE scholar who loves her new school, likes learning new words in Spanish and thinks reading and writing will be easier this year. That’s because Alicia’s parents qualified for an ACE scholarship, which helped them afford to enroll her in an ACE partner school.

After transferring from a public school, Alicia has blossomed. Her teachers describe her as “very sociable, warm and outgoing. She makes sure that all newcomers and visitors feel welcome in our classes.”

Today, Alicia is an accomplished reader in English and communicates well orally in both English and Spanish. She enjoys dancing, art and gymnastics, and this year she’s even playing the flute in the school band.

She loves her P.E. class, “especially during rope jumping.” When she grows up, Alicia wants to be a ballerina, “because ballet makes me feel happy inside.”
